Great shot, you must have been able to get quite close with a 70-200 lens?

About 20-25 yards, the image is cropped.

Cool shot. Is the deer irritated by you or the magpie?

The bird, one of the town deer by waterton park in alberta. This was shot from the road out of my truck. I’d rather not get a shot then irritate an animal they have hard enough life

I agree with the sentiment. I'll stay on a road or trail as animals are generally acclimated by people there, sometimes amazingly so! I've seen animals tolerate people on a path, but bolt when people walk off the path to get a better shot with their cell phones.

Some people are frustrating, a lot don’t understand and most don’t wish to learn unfortunately they generally just want a photo for social media….

Not exactly stalking here. I got this from my dining room window, in my slippers.

I'm reminded of "I shot an elephant in my pajamas . . ."

.
A shot from Northern Idaho last week. . I had such a productive shoot there that I am trying to figure out how to get back for a day or two before the rut comes to a complete halt.

Shot with the 60-600mm Sigma at 244mm. . The buck is too close to the center of the frame for my tastes ..... this would look better if the buck were put a little further off center, but I guess I can always crop to get that. . But still it would have been a better pic if I would have zoomed in a bit more and put him further off center in the first place.

.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".
