Jul 30, 2018 17:12 | #182 I recently completed a project on Captivity with these 2 images being some of my favourites. The first one looks as if he is staring right down my lens and into my soul! The second shot is quite comical in the way his middle finger is stuck up as if to say 'F' off!!! Image hosted by forum (925182) © AbsHobbs [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW. etnad2 Member More info | Aug 12, 2018 02:22 | #195 As you may have read in national press, one of the Southern Resident Killer Whales had a baby that only lived an hour or so. For the past 17 days, J35 (also know as Tahlequah) has been pushing her dead baby to the surface as it sinks. As the body of the baby started to decompose, she finally abandoned it yesterday. The SRKWs almost exclusively eat Chinook Salmon and these have been in short supply. Among many other stresses (whale watching boats, ship strikes, inbreeding, civilian and naval SONAR) the salmon run has been poor and these animals have had a hard time finding enough food. Tahlequah also is suspected to have an infection and researchers have given her antibiotics. Image hosted by forum (927246) © etnad2 [SHARE LINK] THIS IS A LOW QUALITY PREVIEW.
