Wanted to share this picture cause it gave me a bit of a chuckle. This is the SL1 + 24mm STM and the 50mm 1.8 ii stuck into a small Case Logic camcorder bag. I've had this bag for a while and use it to carry around my mirrorless cameras, but never though to try it out with the SL1. I like this lens combo because it mimics the popular 35mm/85mm split. I apologize for not providing more scale, but believe me, this is a small bag.

Mirrorless definitely has other advantages besides size. But if you prefer a DSLR and want to trim down your kit, the SL1 does amaze me at times with how small it is. Also, both these lenses combined costs less than $300 new retail. That's kind of hard to find in the mirrorless realm.

I really love how small that SL is!

That is the number 1 thing Canon has going for it. Super cheap and super awesome primes.

I love that you can get a $40 adapter for the EOS M and use the same primes with decent AF, I've been thinking about getting a EF adapter for my sony to use those cheap primes. The metabones adapters are not cheap at all though.

These are my current compacts, I'm not much a bag person but I carry a messanger once in a while. With my 28 and 85mm.
