Today I was shooting at a birthday party with Mark II N. I had about 130 photos successfully shot and was reviewing the images on the LCD of the camera. As I was reviewing the photos they dissapeared and a message come up on the screen that read "This Card has not been Formated". I couldn't do anything with the card until I reformatted it in the camera. Was shooting with a 80X Lexar Media 1GB card. Anyone had this particular problem with this combination before. I have used this card many times without any such problems. Any Ideas or suggestions"
thanks, Walt

I dunno of anything recent, but there have been issues with Lexar 80x cards. I believe Lexar replaced the defective cards.

Mine is one of the old cards but this is the first time that I have had any problems with it after many uses.

Had you EVER formatted the card? or have you only ever deleted a few at a time?

If so then, yes, Canon and Lexar had a problem earlier in the year, but it was to be resolved by Lexar by July last year. If you bought it earlier than that, you could be in trouble again. Hope you had another card on you .... always have an extra or two on hand.
