Nice pictures Jeff. That lens seems to be doing a good job. I’ll have to look around for one soon if I can afford the promised EOS R5.
Re the bottom pic, it may be how you intended but did you try a little perspective tweak in Photoshop?

Really hadn't thought about that as I have never used the perspective tool (my old 4x5 and the tilt front and back ROFL). I will give it a shot!

It seems quite common to see a few of the graves/stone markers very close to the building. Were those spots reserved for people of high public stature?

Good question Chuck. It is a fact as most local churches I know seem to have memorials of some sort dedicated to prominent local persons or benefactors or long serving clergy. Some are inside the church as stone, marble or brass plaques on walls or paving stones laid on the floor. For instance, the church I posted above had a memorial stone near the door in memory of a vicar who died on his way to conduct a service Whit Sunday 1880’ish. I nearly took a picture of it. Another local church a plot dedicated to a senior law minister and whose three sons were killed in the trenches in WW1 - so sad.
These plots/and large memorials seem to have died out a bit in the last 100 years or so since Queen Victoria died.
There are quite a few war graves maintained by the War Graves Commission in the church yards scattered over the country.

Nice shot. What style is that? Looks a little weird. Italian/Venetian?

Just what I was thinking. But didn’t like to say :-)
Nice picture, though, all the same.

Yes I was curious and eventually found this

St. Carthage's Catholic Parish Church in Lismore, County Waterford, was constructed between 1881 and 1884 by the Dublin architect Walter Doolin (1850–1902) in the Lombardo-Romanesque style.

And this comment which explains the confusion on the Web
Please note that this is not St. Carthage's Cathedral which belongs to the Church of Ireland, or the former cathedral in Lismore, Scotland

It's a beautiful structure, in and out

Thanks Richard you answered all the details before i seen the question. Lismore is a lovely town with some lovely building and a beautiful castle owned and maintained by the Duke of Devonshire

Did you get water droplets on the lens? I can see suspicious spots here and there. With the sea in close proximity, I would strongly suggest you check the lens/filter - if you haven't already - and clean those spots off. Salt water that dries on the lens leaves salt behind that can lead to lasting damage.

Those spots are dust on the sensor.

I like your picture SBPhoto.
Just to comment on the two previous posts -
I only noticed when you mentioned it but I’d Probably have cloned the spots out if I’d noticed them in post processing. Not sure about dust on sensor though but is it a possibility that any dust particles on the surface or inside the lens will begin to come into focus at f16? I frequently change my lenses and haven’t had a problem with dust - Yet, touch wood :-) I do distribute the dust around in the shutter box with a rocket blower from time to time.
