new 90mm with interesting sounds

So my new lens makes two interesting noises.

One is when the lens is off the camera or on the camera but with the camera off; when I tilt the lens down and back, one of the elements is moving and I can hear it hit it's front and rear stops. When it's on the camera and turned on it doesn't do it.

The other is that I can hear it constantly metering, even when in manual aperture and shutter speed the lens is making noise like it's changing the aperture.

What's has anybody else experienced?

It appears this is normal. The noise is the focusing magnets that are loose when the lens is powered down.

The 90mm combined with the x-T1 resolves like nobodies business.
