Hi all,

Lots of great info but no solution to my problem. New 20D seems to have a broken flash but want to troubleshoot it first. Cannot get it to go in ANY mode. It pops up but does not flash. HELP and thanks in advance!!!!!

Return it? I had one that the exposure would not lock when the flash was up. Called Canon support and they said to send it back for warranty or return the camera as defective. I sent it back since it was like this out of the box.

Make sure custom function 7 is set to 0.

If custom function set correctly and it still doesn't fire ... TAKE IT BACK NOW.
