You are correct PRCA rodeos are only to allow PRCA photographers to shoot. It doesn't always work this way all the time. An it is what is driving the market for rodeo photographers away. Producers will find people to shoot for free and that will give their work away. Leaving the guy that does this for a living with nothing to show for hours and hours of work and travel time. Most of them don't get paid to be there. They work on speculation.

My problem is lack of good nightime lights. I shoot one 3 day college rodeo each year and 2-4 PRCA rodeos each year. All at night except one college slack day *they only have 70+ barrel racers in slack).
Summer started to show itself here in Indiana. First outdoor barrel racing that I have been out to shoot. Poles were at the beginning and boy did those show problems. The barrels started to improve over the day.

Love the shot............except for the cowboys atop the fence with their cells. IMHO crop them out as they are a distraction. It becomes a much better image.
Don't even begin to think I'm criticizing your images.
