Shingle Back Skink

These are a great lizard as we really do call them but they are a skink that grow to a little over the 30cm mark.
These shot will show that there was 2 of them and found within a 10 minute break.
The first was found by the fruit trees and was in the shade.
The next was one the platform or ramp. These were caught over in his place as he was away and we were looking after his yard.

These do have a few common names and these can vary from state to state.
Where I am we call these the name on what I have named this thread.
Both of these were in the range of 15 to 20 cm but you can tell they were young as I use to go out bush and catch them.
So of glad this in now not allowed.
