Can't believe that I live 1.5 hours away from Yosemite, but my last visit was exactly one year ago today (Friday). I headed up for my own "Black Friday" and arrived at Tunnel View around 2:45am. Spent a lot of time photographing different locations while the near full-moon was over head. Still going through the photos, but here is the first one...

Excellent shot, there's nothing better than snow in Yosemite valley.

I live 3 hours away and haven't been into the valley in over 3 years, prior to that I'd been at least once a year for as long as I can remember. I did make it to the high country last summer but it's not the same as the valley.

Canon 5D3, Canon XTI (IR converted), 24-70 f2.8L, 16-35 f4L, 50 1.4, 70-200 f2.8L, 100 2.8 macro, 430 ex & 580 exII speedlights.

To me the high country IS Yosemite. I used to backpack a lot until I had issues with walking.
