Swith From Fuji to Sony?

I have a Canon 5D MKIII which has sat on the shelf for the last 6 months as I have been using my Fuji X-T1 and X100 for most things. I am really getting back into Landscapes and Milky Way shooting and am thinking of moving over to Sony. My big dilemma is...I hate the Fuji X Trans sensor RAW files when PP in Lightroom (my PP software of choice) especially landscape images. I am know sucked into, and love, using a tiltable EVF , great dynamic range and lightweight camera so would you:

A) Dust off the 5D MKIII with the 17-40 and start using that for Landscapes. Will I get the dynamic range and matching noise levels (Milky Way shooting) I am currently getting from the XT-1 ? I certainly won't get the tiltable EVF or lightweight option.

B) Sell the 5D MKIII and X-T1, buy an A7rII with commlite adapter to adapt my Canon 17-40, Canon 85mm 1.8, Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART and Canon 70-200 f2.8 NON IS

C) Tip my toe into the Sony bath with either an A6000 or A7 with either an 28mm F2 or the 10-18 f4 to see what all the hype is about.

I really am keen to try Sony especially as I can imagine the RAW files are more tuned to using Lightroom for PP and I will not get the horrible waxy mush that is clearly visible with my X-T1 RAW files.

I am trying to reach out to anyone who may have been there, made the switch, and either regretted it or thought, why didn't I do this earlier.

Sell me your x100 and buy a used a7. They are cheap now. I've seen bodies in my local classifieds for cheap as 700 Canadian. If your plan is Landscapes then the newer ibis won't be important as u will be on a tripod mostly.

If you're happy with everything about your Fuji except for the RAW's (which I have to say I disagree with, I love the X-Trans files) then you'll love the Sony, it has no downsides from the Fuji other than ergonomics (which I think the X-T1 is better at, but that's subjective).

Hi Jason, you already know my views on the Fuji RAWs in lightroom (although I just bought an X100t - go figure) but if your not using the 5DIII I would sell it while you can still get a premium for it. I had mine for 12 months and only lost £200 on the resale. With regards to the Sony keep in mind that your option 2 above wont quite work with the commlite adaptor, for the 85 1.8 you will need the metabones (£300). I think the other lenses you list would be fine though. If you decided you were going to also sell the canon lenses you could go for an A7II instead of the A7RII as its still a great camera and 24MP. Or an A7S, lower MP but basically Iso-less. The AF of the A7RII is leaps and bounds better though and the points also cover more of the frame (I found the A7II cluster a bit limiting).

My advice is sell the XT1 and 5DIII and buy a A7RII but also keep the x100. Take my advice with a pinch of salt though as I can barely make up my own mind never mind yours
