Finally released the trigger and got A6000 with possible further going forward on bigger FF bodies, if this switch is what I was told.
Now the question is I have beyond the exchange, Canon Glasses both native and third party (Tamron Sigma etc).
I do understand that there are several adapters to convert a native Canon EF/EFs lens to Sony NEX E mirrorless but there are such variability in market.
Metabones adapter seems to the best but at camera body price.
TECHART usual or Double mode adapters seem very nice at half the price about ~$200
Then there are much cheaper ones in $50-100 range with various/ unsure features.
The cheapest, non AF ones are clear of course.

I need AF electronically coupling adapter but need more information as to what I lose or gain by spending less or more.
Could those of you that have these adapters already tried, give me an idea about what you use and how you feel about it.
My concerns are AFing, IS, EXIF data tag and most importantly control over F stop.

Thanks a lot for all the help & replies!
Seems either there is no Sony user in this forum or something...

In any case, for the sake of anyone else that may run a search on this issue, I found a least these two links useful and hope helps.

not many people have used the adapter on the a6000. a lot on the A7r2 with great results from metabones. but its about $400. Some have good results with a Commlite adapter for $100. those would both work on your a6000. Theres also the Tech art one if you can find it thats about 200 and supposed to work with all models.

Samsen, I spend 99% of my POTN time within the Sony threads and didnt even see this one until now for some reason so apologies.

With regards to your question you would be best getting the cheapest one you can find. Commlite, Viltrox II etc are all around £50-75 in the UK. Theres no point paying the premium for a metabones (£300) as your body isnt going to focus fast with canon lenses anyway so theres no gain. The cheap electronic adaptors will give you AF (Slow!), IS, Exif, Aperture control etc. I use a Viltrox II but have also used a Commlite previously and they are both decent for the money.

If you want fast AF on Canon lenses you need an A7RII (or possibly an A7II?). This was the first body that gave fast PDAF on adapted lenses. I believe that due to a firmware update the A7II also allows this now but I would double check before taking my word on it. The metabones is probably worth the premium on the A7RII depending on what lenses you have from canon. Its required for the 85 1.8 and the 135L (amongst others). I still just use a Viltrox II but thats because the only lenses I adapt from Canon are landscape lenses and I just manual focus

All I would say is that I wouldnt base your final switch over decision on the AF speed of canon lenses on the A6000 as it will be slow and frustrating. The A6000 with native lenses however is a completely different story

Further to the above I dont think you will get much info on POTN about the techart adaptor as I dont remember anyone ever saying they have used it. Also if you have any all manual lenses on canon mount a dumb adaptor would suffice. I use K+F Concept (amazon) adaptors on my samyang lenses as they dont need any electronic control. These adaptors were £10 each so I just leave them attached the the lenses permanently.

Finally - Whatever adaptor you get I recommend flocking the insides of it to prevent unwanted reflections. Flocking paper is cheap and is like the stuff on the inside of canon hoods. I bought a massive roll of telescope flocking paper and flocked all of my adaptors (was having issues previous to this) and it worked a treat. The roll was £10 and is big enough to flock probably 1000 adaptors. Flocking takes about 10 minutes and requires no disassembly of the adaptors, simply curt the paper to shape and stick on (its got a sticky back). The metabones T comes pre-flocked but at a premium in price.

I hope you appreciate the irony ;)

i think there was 1 person who used the techart one here on a a7r2 and they said it was just average, nothing special. if i had an a6000 i'd just get the commlite and deal with the slow af it might have and save 300 over the metabones and put that towards a lens.
