I live right outside of NYC and given the proximity to a number of photography schools, I'm considering applying. I was looking at the NYC Institute of Photography and I really like how affordable it is and it seems like a well rounded curriculum. However, it is an online program. I definitely don't want to spend thousands of dollars or a lot of time in school, but I'm not sure if I'd be short changing myself going online when I could go to the location.

Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.

Ask yourself, what do you want to learn from a school?
And with all the free resources on the i-net, why do you feel that formal training is the best route to follow to reach your objective?
