Question on firmware updates for a7/a7r/a7s with Mac OS X 10.11

I was looking to purchase most likely an a7 in the future. I see that the firmware update for 2.0 for the a7 only supports up to 10.10

has anyone had issues or unable to update with OS X 10.11 (el capitan)?

I didn't even think of checking that. I upgraded to el capitan yesterday and I still need to install the latest firmware to get uncompressed raw. Not sure if I should risk it now

I tried to check, it let me download and run the firmware updater and driver loader and I got to the part where it said connect camera. But since I don't have the camera thats as far as I got. I've tried to look online but no ones asked recently.

For the a7rII you're fine. It supports 10.11 el capitan. Its just the older camera's.

I talked to sony support through chat. So if anyone else has an a7/r/s it will work even though it says its supported up to 10.10

Because of the Mac update, camera owners would like to know first if it will work with El Capitan, as you can see on our web, it's up to 10.10 only, but the firmware was fully tested that it also works with El Capitan, just make sure to load the driver loader first, so the Firmware Updater can recognize the camera.
