We have just received notice that the engineers will have completed the work on the software in 3 weeks.

This is the Sony A7RII fix? Sorry, I'm late to this thread, contemplating buying the AD600 and I shoot the A7RII. I was skimming the posts and saw the issue. Shooting portraiture/glamour and generally at f/1.4-2.8, so this is a deal-killer for me until fixed.

It's been 4 weeks since you posted this. Any update Helen? Thanks in advance.

I just carry them in the shoulder bag. I did buy pelican 1510 but can't fit everything with the extension head and 7" reflector. Without reflector OK.

I have 2 in an equipment case I got at Helix before they closed. includes room for remote heads and reflectors.
Other two are in a cheap hard sided roll around suitcase I got at Costco. Packs are in the shoulder bags, remote heads are in a padded insert I found on Amazon.

The latest I have is that they are still working on it; best to contact brands@adorama.com directly for updates.

Cheetahstand has excellent rolling cases that will take a whole 2-4 light setup, including decent-sized poles and extra gear like some speedlights or AD200s.

However, I often don't have time to unpack and set up. Yesterday, I had 15 minutes of a county judge's time. I carried in two 600s on poles and my camera on a neck strap. Bounced the light off the walls, worked to a treat. Setup was to put down one light, extend the legs, point and turn on the other, then the same with the first. This left fourteen minutes to get the five poses the publisher wanted.

I leave them on top of poles in the back of my SUV when driving and working.

Anyone tested how long they can run the modelling light for before it drains the battery? I'm shooting for about 7 hours straight and hoping to keep the modelling light going without using the A/C adapter.

I remember being really surprised how quick the modelling light drained my battery. I don't think I got more than 3-4 hours when I left mine on (~200 1/4 power flashes). I do seem to remember that the light also shuts itself off after about 20 minutes, but you can turn it back on. It was nearly a year ago that I attempted using the light with the modelling light left on, so my memory is a bit fuzzy.

I finally found a way to set up the cases for the AD600 and AD200. I can leave the reflector on, and the bulbs in the heads so everything is ready to go. One case fits inside the other. I keep my AD200's in my main camera bag, but there would be room if I took the AC adapter, extension cord and speedlight out of there.

I use the extra dividers as flags since they've already got the Velcro.
