That's useful info; thanks. I'm shooting today (which ought to get it down to about 2 bars), and will try to do some non-critical work over the next few days while tracking shot count and see where it goes. It won't be a perfect test, but maybe I can glean a little more data before the critical tournament.

The only prior experience I've had has been with the AD360 and the little PB960 battery system, which was good for about 1000 shots, also at 1/16 to 1/8 power. I actually did run a couple of them out of power at an event; they went from 1 bar to 0 pretty quickly - and it was literally "works perfectly, then quit." I wasn't able to see the LCD indicator beforehand because the strobe itself was way up in the air on a stand, so all I had was the battery indicator to judge by.

Anyone else with anecdotal data to share?

Hi All

Wanted to know how I can disable the automatic HSS functionality in my godox units. Want to use hypersync in stead of HSS.

I’m using canon 5d mk3
Godox ad600bm flashes
X1T-c:-)

Thanks in advance

Simplest answer is to use an XTR16 (to receive signal), switch off the internal radio, use either an XT16 tx or an X1T in centre pin mode

alternatively any receiver that will plug into the 3.5mm jack

Thanks Heaps Mike

I think I'm almost there

Using an X1T and purchased the XT16 receiver and can now trigger a flash with out HSS taking over

however with the flash AD600BM at full power im getting banding, any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers - Luke

Hi .I have the same combo and I'm afraid because of manual flash(ad600bm) if working with another flash together which support Hss past 200 in speed you will see always banding. I'm using ND filter to keep the speed lower than 200 to avoid the banding.

then it comes down to adjusting timing via custom function 0

What camera and trigger are you using and can you post an example

AD600R Ring Flash

I wonder if it has same diameter with Hensel or Golden Eagle (chinese brand) ring flash.
Because I have one, with several ringflash giant modifiers. I'll be glad if they fit on this new Godox ringflash :)
