All images were captured without changing the position of the camera, light or target. I wanted to fill the frame with the target, so it the light was angled as a matter of convenience.

The X1-N manual says to set it to 1/250 Auto FP, so that's what I used. I also tried 1/320 Auto FP, and the results were the same.

Can somebody start a thread showing sample images using this strobe .... very curious. I wonder how it works when used in a multi strobe/speedlight setup using different brands like Canon speedlights, Rovelight, YongNuo speedlights....or even Profotos.

Phil,
That's a great suggestion.

Ah, that's right I remember others mentioning that now. That's why your getting the darker image at 1/250th though, the flash is going into HSS mode.

I would guess that if you cover the TTL contacts on the camera hotshoe and shoot at 1/250th with the X1T-N shutter will likely start to show in the images at times, so that's likely why Godox have set HSS to cut in early at 1/250th.

Switching to HSS at 1/250 would be a mistake because that's the normal x-sync speed for many Nikon bodies. Assuming that's the issue, Godox should provide a firmware update to get it fixed. I reported this (via email) to Godox 4-5 days ago, but they aren't known to be very responsive.

Got pretty much the same thing both a Nikon D800E and the Canon 5DMkIII
Less images on the Canon because the Sync speed is 1/200

Your Nikon results are even worse than mine. My exposures were fairly even except for 1/250, while yours appear to be dropping with each change in shutter speed.

X-xync speeds for cameras are determined based on having a speedlite in the hotshoe or a light attached to the camera via a PC connected cable.

Radio transmission adds conversion and propagation delay. While its slight, it can make a difference.

Have no Clue
My cameras seem to not like anything over 1/160 using triggers
I think its due to trigger and sync timing

There is probably some interference in the 2.4Ghz spectrum in your location that is causing some rebroadcasting to occur.

That's an interesting thought.
