I'm a reasonable man.
One that over the years has amassed an inventory of cables the likes of which could sink a small vessel.

I do not however seem to have a USB cable with a connector that fits the SIGMA USB dock.
I have never seen anything with such a tiny connector. It makes the Micro and Mini USB connectors look positively giant.

Could someone steer me in the right direction? Is this proprietary, and thus the reason that the sellers on Ebay of cables that proclaim to fit the dock make no statement as to what the connector is? Or is that just to get me to pay them too much for a standard connector?

Is it "Micro-AB" and if so, why does that connector even exist????

thanks in advance.

Been reading about the dock in anticipation of buying one. This is a major gripe in all the reviews. It is a proprietary connection known as UC-E6.

Didn't come with a cable? Was this a retail purchase?

Jeepers. You would think an outfit like Adorama would supply all of the original equipment, especially when it uses a proprietary connector.

Eh, while Helen is a rockstar, I've found adorma proper to be lackluster. Do agree it seems almost criminal to sell something like that without all the cables.

You should be able to find one cheap. Here in Australia, land of the ripoff, I found major photographic retailer has them for $10. It seems they are used by Nikon Coolpix cameras.

Was it on a special sale? They usually sell it for $59. And it comes with a cable. Did you get a used item? I wonder if they sold you a returned item without checking its contents first.

Sounds like someone didnt give them the cable when they sold them the unit and they didnt disclose it had no cable.
I dont think its proprietary. I have used it to charge my daughters little Nikon P&S i am pretty sure its a micro usb

Only $5.19 from BestBuy Marketplace. I do agree it would've been nicer if it took a mini or micro AB cable.

Here's the cheapest one I could find that is not from overseas.
$2.99 with free shipping, from a top-rated seller in California:
