A a local HS basketball game I met another photog. He was shooting a Sony camera with a white lens (70-200 I presume). For some reason, he was shooting while looking at the live view.

Anyone out there use live while shooting live? Why?

abruckse Senior Member  More info | Dec 12, 2015 22:56 | #5 I know little about the Sony bodies, but a guy I know shoots exclusively with them. His bodies use electronic viewfinders, so using the rear LCD live wouldn't be too much of a stretch. Andrew

Dec 14, 2015 07:00 | #11 I've used lived view at bicycle races to track riders going through corners. Working with a fixed location and pre-focused, I get better situational awareness that way. I don't do it all the time (it is harder to track), but it has its place.
