Figured I should contribute to this thread as I was wishing it had more photos in it before I bought my version of this lens!

I also got serial number 15 which I thought was cool.

I currently use the 28 1.8 for my wide prime. Have considered the 20A and 24A. Does anyone find the 20A a more 'specialty' lens. I'm afraid I wouldn't use it as much as a 24A. Also, does the size/weight bother anyone?

I can't answer anything about the 20A as I have never used it. But my girlfriend has a 28 1.8 and i use a 24A. I think we might replace her 28 with a 20A because the extra width really makes the difference, even the 24A vs the 28 makes a bit of a difference in many instances.

I bought 20A because it serves two purposes for me: environmental shots just walking around, and landscapes (which I only do occasionally). I don’t shoot ultra wide. Never owned 24A. Plus, 24mm isn’t wide enough for the occasional landscapes for me. Did own 24L II, but sold it. Too expensive for limited use. 20A is quite affordable, in comparison. And I like the 20mm focal length.

It is heavy. I probably wouldn’t want to walk around with it for a long time. So it does become somewhat of a specialty lens to me. I don’t use it everyday, but use it enough to keep it. And like I said, it’s affordable, and very sharp straight from f1.4.
