Great bag and price if this is your color. Doesn't call attention to itself and is a general purpose size. DSLR with 2-3 lenses.

must resist this stupidly good deal...... Love the bag, but realistically too massive for my mirrorless stuff.

I guess the blue is being discontinued. Great bags, just a bit on the bulky side.

It's not just the blue, they updated the entire Retrospective series recently, and all the old stuff has been being liquidated for some months. I got a 20 and a 40 in the "pinestone" for similarly great prices about two months ago. Great bags!

I'm very tempted to grab the 10,.

The 30 @ $70.00 is a steal, it is my absolute favorite bag in the series. Sadly I can't justify buying one now that I have the 40,. which is almost identical with some minor exceptions in pocket layout.

Didn't you get the 50? I tried the 50 and it was huge so I had to return it. I really like the 30 a lot.

40, didn't end up getting a 50. Well, I think? Maybe my "40" is a 50? Now I'm confused.

I think they are virtually the same size, maybe an inch here or there, but the real difference is the pocket layout. The 30 has those two pockets in the front. The 40 has one huge pocket with a removable divider, but it does not expand as far out as the 30's pockets. Size and weight seem very close.

On 2nd though Tommy, i think you are correct that I did also get the 50, it will be sold off, or kept for a rare need for a bigger bag. I have never used it or removed the tags, as it just did not fit the bill.

What i really would like to add to my 40 is a 5 or 7, for packing light. The reason i did not jump on the 10, is it's not small enough.

The 40 is 14.2” W x 11.8” H x 8” D
Holds:
•2 gripped DSLRs
•70-200 f/2.8 attached
•24–70 f/2.8 attached
•14–24 f/2.8 attached
•13” laptop
•10” tablet

The 30 is 16” W x 10.5” H x 7” D
Holds:
•2 gripped DSLRs
•70-200 f/2.8 unattached
•24–70 f/2.8 attached
•16–35 f/2.8 attached
•Up to a 10” tablet

I had a 30 a while back and liked it but in the end sold it.
I got the 40 a couple weeks ago during the B&H sale and find it even better because it is not as wide and holds the 70-200 or 100-400 attached... The divided front pocket of the 30 was nice tho.

I really like the extra inch in height too, (on the 40) as I like to have the 100-400mm on 7D2 in there.
It could fit in the 30, but there was a bite more of a bulge on top.

Thanks for the measurements. I've had the 5, 7, 10 and 30. I found the 7 to be the most useful as a carry around shoulder bag when I want to take a body with an extra lens or 2. The 5 was too small IMO and the extra room of the 7, without really adding any weight, is really useful.

The 10 and 30 are a bit too bulky for me to take around town, I feel they stick out like a big diaper bag but I like the extra width of the 30 as it allows me to use fit 2 mounted cameras with an extra lens. I keep pouches on the sides for flashes. The 30 is my home base bag or bag I use to take my gear with me places. I really like the 2 front pouches.

I did briefly try the 50 but I instantly returned it as it was really massive, The 40 looks better than the 50.

Thanks just ordered one to replace my retro 5, was planning on swapping to the 7 but for the price and I dont think the size difference between the 7 and 10 was too dramatic.

The 10 is deeper, The 7 is a bit less bulky.
-edit - for the cost difference the 10 is hard to pass up. Not sure about the blue but it looks ok.
