Hello everyone,

I will be purchasing one of these lenses this week but torn as to which one. Both similarly priced (in the UK anyway), although the Canon has cashback to.

I shoot cycling races and also car photography (mostly static). I also want to get into doing more landscape photography.

I currently have a 7D, 70-200 F4L, 24-105 F4L and a nifty fifty that barely sees the light of day.

Any experiences of either lens would be greatly received and appreciated.

Heya,

Both are great lenses.

I'd give the edge to the Canon since you're already shooting Canon, and since the prices are equivalent these days. The Canon 10-22 has very good lens flare performance and fast focus if you need that (only really matters if shooting at 22mm anyways likely).

Very best,

Something else to consider is the new 10-18 STM as it also has IS. I had a look at one last weekend at WEX and it is very good, and IIRC under £200. WEX also have quite a few of the Sigma 10-20's in second hand. There second hand stuff is usually excellent, and the descriptions are usually far worse sounding than the actual product. I have looked at items described at Cond 8 with various minor marks/scratches etc, and they are hard to tell for virtually new.
