I'll upgrade from 350d to 30d when it arrives at stores.
But i have 2 Sigma lenses (NEW DG version) and i am about to buy 1 more Sigma lens (10-20 DC).
So will my Sigma lenses work on 30d?
any guess?

I wish 3rd party lens makers add a Com or USB data transfer port on lenses. so we can upgrade lens firmware easily at home instead of sending to manufecturer.

Yes 30d is based on 20d but i heard that Canon puts some restrictions in the software of each new camera so they dont accept 3rd party lenses or give Error99 sometimes? 5D Mark II + 40D | Lenses: Sigma 150-500mm BigmOS / Canon 24-105mm F4L IS / Canon 70-200 F4L IS / Canon 85mm 1.8 / Sigma Macro 70mm f/2.8 EX / Sigma 10-20mm EX / Canon 50mm f/1.8 II / Sigma 1.4x APO TC / Kenko 2x PRO300 DG. I sent the lens back to the distributor and it was rechipped for no charge. They even fixed the autofocus that had ceased working for the same price. (AF broke because I am used to full time manual overrided on my USM and HSM lenses and mistakenly manual focused when still in AF mode on the lens. I told Sigma that, but they repaired it for no charge anyway.)
