I'll upgrade from 350d to 30d when it arrives at stores.

But i have 2 Sigma lenses (NEW DG version) and i am about to buy 1 more Sigma lens (10-20 DC).

So will my Sigma lenses work on 30d?
any guess?

There is really no way of knowing until you put them on.

hmm...

So it means i have to put Sigma 10-20 purchase on hold until i get 30D.

I wish 3rd party lens makers add a Com or USB data transfer port on lenses. so we can upgrade lens firmware easily at home instead of sending to manufecturer.

They will not work, in fact, the 30D will blow up.
I will help you out by taking the Sigma24-70 off your hand. $50???
J/K, I haven't seen any new/current generation of Sigmas have a problem with current generation of Canon's. Seeing as both the 20D and the 30D use Digic II and similar programming for AF and stuff, it should be fine. If it doesn't work, I'm sure Sigma will rechip your lens for you for free.

I highly doubt there will be an issue. We've heard no issues from 20D owners and the 20D and the 20Dn (30D) are near clones.

Yes 30d is based on 20d but i heard that Canon puts some restrictions in the software of each new camera so they dont accept 3rd party lenses or give Error99 sometimes?

OK, here is an issue. My Sigma 105 mm macro lens worked on my D60, but would not do anything on my 20D. I sent the lens back to the distributor and it was rechipped for no charge. They even fixed the autofocus that had ceased working for the same price. (AF broke because I am used to full time manual overrided on my USM and HSM lenses and mistakenly manual focused when still in AF mode on the lens. I told Sigma that, but they repaired it for no charge anyway.)
