It is tilted and the verticals are converging severely. That can all be corrected in LR and when corrected, it would be a beautiful shot.

Agreed, it was the first thing that jumped out at me. In Photoshop the lens correction filter will allow you to draw a straight line, tracing one of the verticals in the image, to automatically get it aligned properly. You'll lose a little bit due to the need to crop the image after rotating it.

thanks for the constructive comments; I don't have LR and my camera is not real sophisticated. If there is a software on the web I could download that would be helpful.

I'm not sure if Gimp will do it (hopefully someone will know), but it's the open source Photos hop and it's free. Try that.
