smythie I wasn't even trying More info Post edited over 7 years ago by smythie. | Dec 18, 2015 15:12 | #3 Considering the main detraction for protective filters IMO is IQ degradation rather than reduced transmission and that the article mentions only light transmission I don't believe it's going to sway too many who are already hard against them. If the filter was advertised to reduce reflections, flare, distortion, loss of contrast, loss of sharpness, etc in comparison with other protective filters it would be a different matter.
