Can somebody please tell me if these two lenses are compatible on a Canon 70D

Tamron AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical Zoom
Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Macro Ultra

I'm sorry if i've posted this in the wrong area but i need to get some confirmation on this ASAP.

Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

As long as they have the Canon EF mount, yes. Tamron makes lenses with mounts for many manufacturers' cameras.

Thanks very much Jon, I'm sorry to ask another dumb question but how do I know if they are EF mounts? They are definitely Canon mounts but I'm not sure if they are EF or EFS.

Easy, only Canon make EF-S. The real question is are they designed for full frame or crop? They are both designed for full frame so will be fine with crop also.

Ok thanks very much for that. They work on my old 40D but I had no way of figuring out if that meant they would work on the 70D also. Tamron and Canon seem to use different terminology will completely lost me.

Much appreciated.

40D and 70D are alike in that they BOTH will except all Canon autofocus lenses.
ie: EF or EF-S

So in the case of your 70D, or 40D, it wouldn't matter if the lenses were made for crop or full frame sensors, as your crop bodies can use both.
