I bought this new Dell XPS 12 2-in-1 as a Christmas gift for my sister. This is Dell's newest version of the 2-in-1, made available last month. I could not find any critical reviews of the laptop, so I'm going out on a limb in buying it. Bummer, I won't receive it until the first week of Jan, so I can't review it now (and my sister will have to wait ;-)a).

Anyway, to me it looks like a competitor to the Surface Pro. The Dell's keyboard is included in the price. A reported battery life of 10 hours, and total weight is 2.8 lbs. Btw, I bought it while on Dell's Chat line, and they knocked off 75 bucks.

If anyone is interested, here's some links. I bought the "loaded" configuration on the right...

You just have to love some of the sales guff they come up with. Having followed the link to the Dell site, I scrolled down the page and found this gem: Gorgeous colors: Enjoy rich and saturated color with a 100% color gamut. I know that 100% is a nice grabbing number, but doesn't every monitor let you see 100% of it's native gamut? It would be really nice if they told you 100% of which gamut. This almost makes me think I am looking at the Apple website :), all sales fluff and no substance.

Can the core M5 keep up as well as the 4th gen i5? That would be my big worry.
