I can sort of see how to create a border in Print Studio Pro, but what I am having a problem doing is simply
creating a 1/2 inch border around a 13x19 print. I have made the print have those dimensions via cropping it
in Lightroom. It prints perfectly borderless, but when I attempt to add the border it wants to make the border
porportional and not exactly 1/2 inch on all sides.

I'm sure there is an easy answer but I am not seeing it.

Thanks much for your help in advance

GG

I'm guessing you will have to alter the crop ratio slightly. Instaed of a 13:19 ratio you will need to crop to a 12:18 (6:9) ratio instead. If you keep the original ratio of the paper, when you reduce the long edge length by an inch it will have to reduce the other length in proprtion. If you want equal borders around a certain paper size you will always have to change the crop ratio to match the new shape.

You're welcome. Actually it's not a guess really:). I print from Lightroom and have a load of custom crop ratios, that LR usually remembers for me, that I use for printing with various border sizes on various paper sizes. One of the things I like about LR is that it lets you have Virtual Copies, so I can keep all the different ratio crops handy without filling the HDD with lots of copies. Mostly I keep them as VC's with the Soft proof set to the matching paper type too, it makes printing a doddle.
