So, Ive been absent for about 6 months. Ive hardly picked up my camera for wildlife/bird photos because I've been very busy with my rifle competitions. However, I promised myself I would make time for a few hikes. I took a hike today with the family and got a few Ruby Crowned Kinglet photos. Ive never gotten any good photos of them and NAILED it today . I'm excited.

Nice to see you back. Those kinglets are really cool!

I just got done building a bolt gun in .243 Winchester myself. Finally finished it last week. Now I just have to find time to shoot it when it's light out between work, my farm, and photography.

Zach--C&C is welcome on my photos

Thanks Bee and Peter.
Peter, I did some weird lip squeaking and they popped out quite a few times to see what I was doing. Maybe try that.

Bee, I'll PM you.

Thanks Al.
I completely missed migration season. But I'll get out on some hikes. Maude set up a few branches in my backyard and get some easier photos too. Lol

Welcome back, great shots (hopefully you do as well with your rifle ;-)a ) I got a shot of a ruby crowned kinglet a couple months ago, but the ruby crown wasn't apparent and I couldn't quite figure out the ID by referencing bird books alone. Luckily, I know many avid birders and they told me what it was. John

It seems your work on the range with a rifle translates better into photography MUCH better than does mine on the golf range. <G>

I appreciate the comments.

By the way,
I do very well with my rifle. I shoot 600 and 1000 yrd competitions and some tactical "sniper" matches too.

Thanks Bob.
It's tough to split hobbies.
But getting good shots makes it worthwhile.
