Paralized tarantula

I saw a wasp carry this sadly I was called away after taking this photo

I think it was, a) I was called away so didn't have time to really look b) there were so many insects/spiders etc that it was hard to remember.

They are from the genus Pepsis ...

Pepsis wasps are huge and freakishly beautiful: iridescent black/blue bodies with red wings.

That looks similar to the wasp - although the one I saw flew off.
