Hello, my first post in the classifieds, but I have sold things on many other forums under the same name(paceline forum, diymobileaudio.com, etc).
My wife and I recently acquired a sigma 17-50 2.8, so this is on the way out. It works great, looks great, and should make a nice multi purpose lens for someone.
To be nit-picky, here are a couple of issues.
1. It has just a little bit of lens creep(which I understand is common in zoom lenses). I had never noticed, but my wife had. She used it for blog pics, food, etc, so she might have been using it looking down more than I had. I just tried to reproduce it off the camera, and it creeps out just a little, but I don't think it is a problem.
2. The focus ring if turned too far sounds like it skips over a gear(??). Not sure if this is common or not, I am still pretty new to a lot of this stuff. It works well, and it was in AF mode when I turned it, so it probably isn't meant to be turned that way anyway.
Other than that, I think it is pretty good. It has had a filter on the end for most of its life, and should be a great lens for someone. It was purchased 2-3 years ago(I think) from canon's refurbished site, and it has served us well. Let me know if you have any questions. My ebay is Brian_davis16 if that helps with references as well.
