PhotosGuy Cream of the Crop, R.I.P. More info | Dec 24, 2015 09:34 | #2 Nice shot! Have you done any processing on it? Using what? There's some blotchy skin tones on the right shoulder/neck/cheek, In this size, it doesn't look bad to me. Might soften the creases in her neck, & would sharpen up her eyes a little bit more. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Dec 24, 2015 09:41 | #3 I would crop it so that the blouse is gone, making it an implied nude. The shoulder line is awkward and removing it makes the balance of the image much different without any additional processing.

Thanks ...Yes..made some basic adjustments from RAW in LR, then used a few presets in NIKS ColorEfex (Pro Contrast, Reflector Efex, a touch of skin smoothening with a very small color reach). I used the clarity brush in LR on the eyes, they were sharp in LR but I agree, they lost a bit of sharpness on the export. Probably being too picky here, but I'd clone out the single single group of hair going to her left so her hair all falls together and there are no gaps. Canon 6D, Canon 16-35 f/4L, Canon 24-70 f/2.8L ii, Canon 70-200 f2.8Lii, Canon 85 1.8, Canon 135 2L, Sigma 35 1.4A

Gonzo, I thought about doing that, but it will also chop about 4" of the hair fringes which I thought were attractive. I'll give it a try, you guys are the experts! gonzogolf dumb remark memorialized More info | Dec 24, 2015 10:33 | #11 I'm personally not a fan of tight head crops, so no. I like it as it is. Maybe just warm up the skin tones a tiny bit.

Dec 24, 2015 10:55 | #14 OK Mark... I want to smooth out the skintones, especially on the shoulder... Is this a preset I can copy...or can you provide some rudimentary guidance steps .... Thanks! rrblint Listen! .... do you smell something? More info | Dec 24, 2015 11:12 | #15 Google "Frequency Separation" you should be able to find a good tutorial on it. It would take too long for me to explain it. Sorry, but it's not as simple as just a preset, individual masking has to be used for each different image. The technique is worth the trouble to learn. Good luck. Mark
