Well not quite but the last shots do look a bit fearsome. A rove beetle larva I found in some leaf litter. I took some shots in the "studio" before returning it to the wild.
All shots focus stacked using zerene. 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash.

Thought for a second you might have had a visit from a Migrant hawker of which there are a few still around this mild winter. Anyway that's a more interesting subject and clearly a good test of flash diffusion!

Excellent shots. Did you use the Sigma 105 with extension tubes?
