Hi,
I am not a pro at photography, comparatively novice. Earlier I had the basic 18-55 AV-S Nikon lens, recently bought the AF-S 55-200 VR II one.
Strangely enough I found that the focus ring of the 55-200 wobbles a bit laterally (around the periphery, not to-n-fro, to make it clear), just a mm or fraction of it may be; but certainly not as fixed and firm as the default 18-55 I have been using.
Achieving auto-focus is not an issue. To be honest, manual focus is also not an issue as such, focus (or the focus ring) doesn't 'slip' and quite firm once focused. But yeah, its not firm while focusing, it wobbles (in a single axis, i,e. lateral).
Is it normal? Should I change it a considering it might give me problem later on, or I might start facing issues once I 'understand' photography better? Suggest me please.
