I'm considering to buy this camera, but have a few questions:

A. Is the shutter really that loud? from what I could tell on Youtube it's TOO loud...

B. I've read online, more than once, that the image quality at high ISO is very low, for a full-frame camera, and very noisy, almost like from a crop sensor... true or not?

TIA

Yes the shutter is that loud.... Coming from a 6D, the shutter on the a7 ii is much louder. But, unless your shooting weddings or events that require silence, its not that big of a deal. You get used to it.

As far as the noise goes, my 6D is better. I think 3200 is my limit with the a7ii.

I moved across from a 6D and actually kind of like the shutter sound of the A7ii, to me it kind sounds how it ought to for a camera that feels so good in the hand.
ISO performance is not up there with the 6D. I tend to max my auto ISO to 800. I guess it all comes down to your lenses and just how low light you're shooting in, or if you're using a tripod. The ibis makes up for some of that. If low light is your thing, then the A7s is for you. I've been more than happy with the A7ii and use a range of MF and AF glass. If MF glass is something your interested in, then the A7ii is an easy recommendation, but if you have the cash, the A7Rii is hard to beat, same for the low light monster A7Sii.

A7II has an electronic first curtain shutter. Very quiet, and you only hear it at the end of the exposure.

I shoot at 3200 and 4000 iso all the time on my a7ii. LR handles it well and when I really want to clean it NIK works wonders on it. I have no issue w/ the shutter noise. I care about the images from the body and they're great.
