Thanks for the link, Jeff. I must admit I found it rather disappointing, as I thought it would be more prolonged and melodious, but maybe my hearing is going.:-(

Yes this little fellow goes by many names. They are the Grey Jay but they are also the Canada Jay, Whiskey Jack. They are like no other in uniqueness. They lay their eggs in the winter and feed and keep their young warm by hiding food in trees and under bark preserved with their own spit. Its said they can remember up to 500 food stash places to do so. it does not migrate and comes to hand without any training by man. Hands down my fav bird on the planet.
