I prefer them to look like a painting, or artsy, I actually strive to do that a lot of times. I most times feature the bird, but if it has a good background I try to incorporate that in it too, too many tight shots makes Jack a dull boy... :)
I think you did good, after the painting dries, hang it up. heheh
