Don't you all think this guy looks guilty of something?
Mighty sly acting to me.

Love these Graham. The last is special. An amazing eye on this species.

Thanks Robert, it was well worth the 5am start and 3 hour drive.

Classified as 'Rare' in my resident state of Victoria, and only having been seen at one location this past summer, I was really happy to see not on but two Diamond Doves over the Easter Weekend.

I wish I could have gotten closer as even with 700mm these are large crops, but hey I was happy with a slice of 'lifer pie'.

A Silvereye. This must be the most common species in New Zealand.

I find it difficult to take an interesting photo of Tufted Ducks, but your water level shots are excellent - I especially like the first one.

Edit : Is the protective clothing you wear with the floating hide warm enough, or have you had to add another layer or three?

the same affect Kate can be got from shore in a lot of cases. I shoot the loons from shore and get the same low on the water image. Of course you need the place and the loons or ducks. Water ways and dam’s between lakes here in Ontario make for great shooting sometimes.
