New Zealand Falcon. I would never have seen this bird if my wife hadn't spotted it flying. As soon as it landed in the tree it melted from sight.

Wonderful find Jack.
When I was in NZ I only focused on one bird....sadly before my real photography days....a Royal Albatross. And in my current mind-set having seen is just not enough=no pic, didn't happen!

One of Pondrader's favorite bierds!
Great capture. Just wish we had them here in the mountains.

Lets build a nest! Love the color of the bokeh, curious what was the source.

Such a cool shot! I love "butcherbirds." I saw one last year take on a mouse (I think it was a mouse, but it was quite large). An unbelievable fight ensued for what seem like a long time. The mouse would break free and the shrike catch it. This went on for a number of times. The mouse was finally able to escape into some heavy grass and sagebrush on the side of the road. I was amazed that the shrike would tackle such a large size potential meal.

Two very nice captures. I especially like the hummingbird shot. Today I was lucky, and got 2 killdeer doing the same kind of balancing act.

You constantly get amazingly sharp images with outstanding IQ. These two shots are no exception. Very nice work.

Thanks Archie. Starting to enjoy my photography again. That frozen shoulder doesn't suffer as much now.

Super..... I have not seen the Rose breasted but had a pair of Evenings for two mornings last week. I was nice to see them with their newly green beaks.

OMG Rob, a stunner. Only seen two in my life. One transient in the backyard and one in the McGee Marsh. Send that one my way!

Yep...I had a dozen shingles ripped from my roof by that wind. That’s an unwelcome expense :(

I stood on my deck watching and listening to the trees fall all around. it was something.

So I'm patiently awaiting the birds return so I'll PP a few I already snapped. Rose Breasted male a couple weeks old
