They sure are

Each pic was taken with a completely different rig. First one is 7Dii plus 100-400ii
Second one is 6D plus Tamron 150-600.

Sorry Matt, what or where is MFD? This is an osprey in it's natural habitat, image has been cropped from original to afford a better composition. But yeah, A friend and I were able to get close to this osprey.
