Lame-Duck I have indeed had pine nuts More info | Jul 14, 2018 22:01 | #21290 MatthewK wrote in post #18662482 I was at max range yesterday trying to photograph the Yellow-breasted Chats, and happened to capture a few other species while waiting. This is hand held @ 1000mm on my 80D, so effectively a 1600mm FOV. I'm not too keen on the results my 500 produces using the 1.4xIII, but I'm really surprised by what I'm getting with the 2xIII. Much more detailed than the 1.4 it seems. Can a TC get out of calibration like a lens, and need a trip to Canon? Common Yellowthroat: Incredibly sharp for hand holding at 1000mm. Very nice Matt. I even put it in the box and put it on the shelf. I have been shooting everything with the 1.4III on as of late. Cool Yellow Throat.. They are a fav of mine. Honestly theres no way the 2x should be sharper than the 1.4.. IMO Getting closer is the way to go though. Excellent shot Jeff. LD, or Mike

I got real lucky with a bunch that last couple years right at the house. With the 1.4III ........ Now I have Indigo Buntings and their much harder to get close to right now Just excellent Jeff.
