Yep, better in the field! I also use Lightroom, but find PS Elements oh so much better for this sort of thing. For the cheap price, it is a heck of a program.

Thanks again for the post processing assist, I'm definitely adding your technique to my tool box for future use. Also looking into PS Elements, as I use maybe 1% of the tools in PS CC, and would love to save some money.

Female ruby throated hummingbird. I processed this first one in color and black and white. I like the B/W version. I'll probably experiment with B/W for the second photo as well....

Outstanding!!! Both shots are so good, but the second one is breathtaking.

Also looking into PS Elements

Do you have an older version of PS Elements? I had and was able to get a discount to upgrade to 2018.
Just enter your existing key and it gives the discounted rate. well it did for me.

I do not.. I'm also in a conundrum because LR is my main editor, and you can't get that without getting PS, so Elements might be redundant at the present.

Pax...Both the b&w, and the color shot are excellent images.

Song Thrush. Not a great shot. The bird was hopping around so quickly that I never did manage to connect with its eye properly

I didn't know you had a cloud subscription. In that case you definitely do not need Elements since it is a much scaled back version of full PS. For those of us diehards that refuse to hop in the cloud , Elements is a good option along side stand-a-lone LR.

This one is a really nicely done shot. I think the two pine cones look kinda cool in the shot.

Green herons are out all of a sudden! Nice work man! You hear 'em call? Very bizarre!

Thank you Chris. I'm sooo deaf now, I'm not sure I'd even recognize their call anymore.
