I like the subdued background on this one. Goes well with the subject

So.... have you decided on the Sony's yet? The POTN public wants to know. ;)

Honestly Kim I'm really leaning toward getting another 7DII lol.. I've killed two so far...why not three. I've been able to get the 7DII to really work for me and its a darn good camera for what I do. I wish it had the AF of the 1D cameras.. maybe the 7DIII will be better if it ever hits the shelves.

The sony is a smasher of a camera.. both of them... But its a big switch and a ton of money.. a completely different shooting.. different trust of the camera.. I found looking at the screen in the viewfinder ok but I would need way more shooting to adjust to it. I'm not sure the stuff I shoot is worth the money to change. I would love one but I already sold two grand kids to get what I have.

People say the 7DII is noisy but it can be good.. good enough for a guy like me right now. I think I need to find a reason to print anything I've shot before I spend on better cameras and lenses.

In good light the 1Div is super, AF is awesome, I miss the 1.6 crop as soon as I start shooting. hey maybe I need bigger glass :p

There's an article in the Boston Globe today about bird enthusiast's flocking to Biddeford Maine to see a rare Great Black Hawk. The article says it has only been seen once before in the US. It's native to Central and South America. The picture did not have a yellow area on its face as yours does. Is there a difference that you know of?

Red-shouldered hawk, CREW Rookery Swamp, Florida

Nice capture, Dave, but I notice that this bird is lighter in overall color that the red shoulders we have out here in California.

Very nice shot. I'm glad you explained that one, because I thought I was seeing double. :p
