Beautiful, sharp portrait shots of the osprey, Shalu.

Really Mike, I don’t like the sun on my subjects, or the blown peace’s of the image. I do like the contrasting vibrancy of the light in the rain. You can have the sunshine... I’m sticking with the rain.

Interestingly..... I love to shoot in complete white out snow conditions as well.. just a little nuts I guess

Well Jeff, all your shots certainly prove that your theory of shooting in the rain is spot on. I guess I need to go out and buy myself a new waterproof raincoat. :-)

I can relate to that.
Beside the photographic aspects of such, there's something I find quite peaceful, but perhaps more the scenic beauty that is there for those willing to forgo a bit of misery. If misery is what one calls being out in that stuff
One of my main reasons for buying my Em-5

I'm with you Richard... give me something different and interesting please :p:-D

That is beautiful. Lovely photo.
Is it he or she? Here our male Robins, Wrens, Tits etc are the highly coloured. Poor girls just standard greys. :-(

Thanks, Richard! Yep, this one is a male. The female is brown. Not as colorful, but still cute. :-)

My goodness Melissa...that is such a gorgeous shot!! The composition, color, and detail are so nice. There is no way to ever get bored looking at an Indigo Bunting. And CONGRATULATIONS on your first one!!!

Thanks so much, Mike! I agree... I took a lot of photos of him on the two days that I saw him! Such a beautiful bird!

Thanks, Jeff! Funny you should say that, and post a photo of a Blue Jay... I have yet to get a decent shot of one. They are either hidden in a tree, completely back lit, or about 1000 feet away. :p
