Your images of these small birds are amazing, Jeff. And such wonderful IQ!

I decided to watch Winged Migration tonight. It's an old movie/documentary but very beautiful. Anybody see that? Seeing the White Storks in it I decided to process a shot I took last week of one in the countryside. Although we have them in the city too. This bird in fact was born and banded at The Vondelpark, Amsterdam's central park, in 2013.

I always envy people with yards, Jeff. I live in the city and don't have a garden and I find my birds in the parks and the countryside. It's basically always down to chance meetings and luck, even though I know some local residents, but they too are skittish, although some more than others. Larger birds are usually not a problem, but songbirds, oy, they're hard for me.

Here are two shots of a Long-tailed tit. There was a whole group of them the other day but they are tiny birds and it's hard to get them in the thick Summer foliage of the trees as they move around incessantly. Still, I take what I can get because otherwise I can't shoot them at all, and that's no fun.

since it is stilt week, here are a couple of the local variety, black necked stilts. It took forever to get good images, they are pretty skittish.

Night capture! Hoping the goldfinch that made an appearance here today, will be a regular.

You're a good man Pondrader, always sage advice.
Now look at those two cuties! The blue feet caught Poof's eye immediately and that little dash of red in the feathers. Lovely
capture.

Gorgeous Tits!! Such round little fluffballs they are and I bet they get 'rounder' when winter comes.
