This is a good one, Mike. Caught him right in the middle of shaking out his plumage, love it when we get to capture those moments.

Thank you very much, Matt. I'm always trying to get something just a little different from my average shots.

Great series of the little blue egret, Lee. They are such beautiful birds.

Great-crested flycatcher

Great shot of this flycatcher Dave, and the composition is really nice.

It's getting to the point where it's almost impossible to keep up with this plus other threads, unless I spend half the day at the computer. I always enjoy commenting on the shots I really like, but I'm going to have to simply push the like button, and leave out more of the comments. I hate to do that. :-(

Great-crested flycatcher

A lovely shot that in many other hands might have turned out rather dull.

Nice shots Matt, I especially like the first shot because of the beautiful colors the male displays.

Totally am with you there, Mike! Getting a typical profile shot is great and all, but catching these fellows doing random behaviors is a fun challenge. When they puff up after a shake, totally brings grin to my face.

It does indeed. Too fast for me. Think I'll have to bail and stick to individual thread.

It's too fast for me too. I've decided (which I hate to do) to post less comments, and simply use the like button more often. There are so many great images, and I really like to comment on all the them, but it takes up way too much of my time.

That plus if you want to be civil and acknowledge others' comments on one of yours you have to go back through pages to find them. I don't think I'm going to post any more photos in serial threads. At least not the high volume ones. I will probably keep browsing through and hitting the like button as appropriate but will confine any posting of photos and comments to individual threads. This is supposed to be like fun, not work.-?

You aren't joking.. too quick, and I feel sort of bad that I can't comment on every shot that I like because when I am able to make it online here, 7 or 8 pages have past, and it's just too much to keep up with. That, and I think I start to sound redundant because everyone's shots are so excellent :)

My 2 bobs worth.
I don't post a lot, but enjoy greatly the birds thread here and in flight ones.
I tend to comment on those as opposed to generally only 'like' individual threads.
I love the diversity and range of birds, attitudes, colours, sizes, you name it one gets on these (two) threads.

The two bird threads are my go to, wakeup in the morning enlightenment.
Much more interesting than a heap of stuff we are subject to these days.

Richard
