Snowy Egret

This is the closest I have ever been to a Snowy, 50'. Uncropped, handheld out the SUV window, light gray overcast. He was concentrating on the hunt.

Hi Trik...

The perch is a cholla cactus "skeleton". When the chollas die, their arms lose all the outer covering and spines which leaves behind these so-called "skeletons".
