Very nicely framed by the foliage and quite sharp, in spite of the heavy crop and 840 mm and ISO 6400, impressive performance.

To me, it looks like a female Pine Warbler. They do seem to "sneak" a lot.

Oh wow, Mike, I think you're 100% correct! Looking in Merlin, definitely looks more like a female Pine Warbler than a Cape May.

Haven't been out to Assateague or Chincoteague yet, planning on it though.

As common as Cardinals are around here, I very rarely get a shot of them that I'm happy with. Especially the males; Canon sensors have never done really well with reds, usually blowing out the red channel if you aren't careful, so that doesn't help either.

I don't think it's a Pine. Pine in fall tends to be unstreaked above and the facial pattern doesn't seem right to me. The choice is between Bay-breasted and Blackpoll. The comparatively strong facial pattern and, most of all, the pale feet make this a Blackpoll Warbler.

Picture editing is OK. CC always welcome.

Just a simple Mockingbird (horribly backlit), but because we do not see much in the way of fall colors in our area this one was kinda cool.

This fella was from the same walk as the Mockingbird in the above post. The bluejay sat totally still, so I wouldn't see him. Lol!

Tried some birding out the back window of my house. Despite using a tripod, most photos turned out blurry due to atmospherics from shooting out of the open window (warm house air meeting cold autumn air).

One of my favorite winter birds: Ruby-crowned Kinglet.
