This guy is a local charm boy, I think he is paid by the wetlands staff to sit on the rail and pose for pictures. A bird that obviously was born at the wetlands around hundreds of people constantly and has no fear. ![]() Very nice, sharp close-up. The rich blue eyes of cormorants is so eye grabbing to the viewers. LD, or Mike

Nov 03, 2018 18:23 | #28415 Today I had one of those days....this red breasted nuthatch, which seem to be having an irruptive year, didnt seem to mind me at all. I was thrilled to see it at my feeders for starters, but when i had to go re-hang one that had fallen, it fell to the feeder with me standing right there. So i decided hmm....lets try this with the camera at its minimum focus distance.....these were the results. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/2cyghiuM50 | RP | 5Dc | 7D

They are an uncommon winter visitor here, last time they were here in good numbers was 3 winters ago...before that it had been nearly 5, so they are a Take what i can get type of bird. So happy I've been having them in my yard and not having to go out looking for them M50 | RP | 5Dc | 7D
