Very nice shot Dave, but it appears as though you were being cursed at.

Wouldn’t surprise me....a daily occurrence ! :p

It's all I got in the garden at the moment, can we trade some?

Backyards sure do vary from place to place. Mine is bare at the moment, but sometimes we have crows and magpies. I don't mind sharing those!

Only managed one shot before my new left eye started weeping into the viewfinder. I'll give it another couple of days but what a difference already! I can see what I'm shooting now before I get 'em onto the computer.

It might take more than a couple of days to settle down, but just think how it will be when you have the other eye done and you have binocular vision again.:-)

This is the question everyone asks. The ring around the neck is a very pale, barely visible ring. The ring on the bill, however, is very noticeable. So why wasn't it named a ring-billed duck? I have no idea. Smarter people than me named this duck, so there must be a good reason for the name they gave it.

In the photo below, you can barely see the reddish colored ring around the neck of the duck.

Nice Sibil. I always like that resting pose when their head is pulled in. It looks really cool.

Thank you, Mike :-)
